Our Training Programs
Cross-Cultural Awareness Training
Gain an understanding of the various cultural aspects involved when dealing with specific crisis issues, such as domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. This training is designed for any organization looking to expand its knowledge on cultural sensitivity and how to apply it to its operations.
Multi-Language Access Training
Learn interpreting ethics/procedures, trauma-informed practices, cultural competency issues, and other topics related to ensuring that victims of violence receive the language services they need.
Sexual Assault Advocacy Program
This program is designed to lead organizations to a greater understanding of sexual consent, sexual violence and intimate partner violence within culturally diverse communities. It also includes classes to improve outcomes for individuals who have experienced sexual violence within diverse communities.
New Alabamians Program
Foreign-born individuals who are new to Alabama can learn who to contact in an emergency, how to get language support in an emergency, common Alabama laws, and how to access the different legal systems. Sessions are available in the group's preferred language.
